I’ve wanted to have a podcast for a long time — probably since I started this blog back in 2006. So I finally just decided to record a speech and edit it as simply as I could. After that first episode, I realized that running a podcast means real demands — content planning, solid production techniques, and investment in proper equipment.
What is a Podcast?
A podcast is a digital audio file available on the internet for streaming or download. Typically, podcasts are available as an ongoing series and can be received automatically by subscribers whenever new content is released. You can enjoy a podcast without a fast internet connection — in the car, on public transit, or while exercising.
Content and Production Equipment
For content, I decided to focus specifically on Music City Strategy — a niche area I’ve been developing. I’m currently working as a consultant for Bekraf to help the Ambon city government develop Ambon as a Music City.
For equipment: I use the Zoom H2N field recorder, Audacity for editing, and Auphonic for audio optimization.
