Helping Other People Everywhere

My friend had just back from the US and bought me HOPE t’shirt from ObeyClothing. HOPE (Helping Other People Everywhere) Artists is a humanitarian organization focused on raising awareness and funds for pressing issues and is committed to green, energy conscious and resourceful business practices.

In the mean time, the organization is demanding these special causes:
* Immediate UN or NATO intervention in Darfur
* Unrestricted access for humanitarian aid
* In-depth media coverage
* Divestment from companies doing business in Sudan

No, it’s not like a street rally and you don’t need to have your hands dirty. You can simply put your effort by joining the movement and supporting them by:
1. Buy the book.
2. Watch the film, or,
3. Buy the t’shirt.

Me? I’ve chosen to buy the t’shirt. I am not aware enough about the conflicts, but i have a thing that i think i can do supporting the movement. Why? First, I am a big fan of Shepard Fairey, the author behind Obey Propaganda. Second, it’s Christmas time and nothing feels better than giving. So i paid for the t’shirt i love to wear while giving to others. So it’s kinda win-win situation to all parties right?

Of course it’s a small giving and with the money you can only bought the hungers several Mc Donalds burgers, but, what if the number of people who aware about the movement tripled because you read this post, then you post to your blog etc etc. At least some t’shirt might sold and some money are raised. Helping Other People Everywhere is not bad at all.

Here’s the resource links you can explore and add to your site or email to your friends:
