I just realize that Veoh is apparently no longer available in my country. Damn. I really like their video player.

Never been a big fan of flash sites but this one has been brilliantly done.

I purchase things online, I love cool online stores and this site Zoomii.com is just brilliant.

It’s an online bookstore with ‘real’ experience of ‘real’ bookstore.

Note:

Online store is ‘real’. You can feel it when the purchased goods arrive at your home, get a product download link deliver to your email, and find that your credit card was charged so you have to pay with ‘real money’.

It’s pretty, really, considering the old site that looks like old disabled man from the old regime.

Even if jakarta Post site filled with great articles from great writers, it still looks dumb in many people eyes, because i believe the commons visit websites rather than open their rss readers to find updates.

However, this morning i found the site is completely migrated to Drupal. Even if i still find some links lead to 404, it looks darn cool!

Worth1000.com is a website of photoshop contents, where artists can engineered on cool picture manipulations.

One of their regular contests is “Modern Renaissance” which asks contestants to put the celebrities of today into old paintings.

Here’s my favorite, Jack Blacchus by DevilMoon. Well yeah i’m a Jack Black big fan, i think he’s a tremendous actor and somehow also a talented rocker. That picture is so Renaissance Jack Black.

I was stumbling around and found this interesting site, Worldometer, which is a site dedicated to world statistics that updated in real time. Worldometer is managed by an international team of developers, researchers, and volunteers with the goal of making world statistics available in a thought-provoking and time relevant format to a wide audience around the world.

From their FAQ page, here’s how they keep the numbers real time:

Numbers displayed on the web page are obtained automatically from Worldometers’ algorithm. The algorithm itself, and the numbers included in the algorithm, are not updated in real time simply because the sources from which the data is derived are not able to provide real time updates, but only periodical ones. Worldometers’ team updates the algorithm, and the numbers and formulas herein included, on an ongoing basis as new data becomes available.

The main website is served in English but also has already translated to several other language. They are currently looking for Korean and Finnish speaking translator as their mission is to serve to wider audience.

The same group of people also presenting the other project; Stop The Hunger, which aim to provide a real time statistics on world hunger.

This is a really cool project.

I’ve been a fan of web design galleries. Everytime i got my RSS Reader open, my first folder i read is usually a folder name ‘blog design’ among others. This morning i’m stoked knowing that this blog is featured at WeLoveWP.com, a site that features WordPress powered websites.
